FEATURED PROJECT

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School

Client: Cristo Rey Jesuit High School

Location: 222 Piedmont Ave, Atlanta, GA

Project Size: 100k s/f

Construction Cost: N/A

Benning was called into action on this project by Cristo Rey High School upon receiving the generous donation of the vacant Oxford office building at 222 Piedmont Ave. Their vision was to renovate the seven-story building to provide a new, much large facility to replace the existing school on West Peachtree. Benning teamed up with renowned Atlanta design & engineering firm, Robertson Loia Roof to transform the 70,000-square-foot vacant office into a vibrant private high school, to provide a rigorous college preparatory education for Atlanta students of need. This challenging design-build endeavor included the creation of new classrooms, science labs, faculty lounge, media center, cafeteria, and chapel. The adjacent parking deck was demolished and reconstructed with an added gymnasium and a roof-top athletic turf field.

Benning’s dedication to this project was led by the company’s Chairman, Ted Benning, III. For Benning Construction Company, it was an honor to be a part of creating the new home for the Cristo Rey students, faculty & staff.
