In the community market, Benning’s public sector construction projects include libraries, community centers, park and recreation facilities, family centric lifestyle centers, parking decks and infrastructure.
Recognizing that public sector construction projects are a means of providing economic benefit to a community, Benning has a formalized program to ensure contractors and workers from the local community participate in the project. Additionally, Benning consciously solicits local vendors and material suppliers for project opportunities.
Benning Small Business Outreach Program uses a database, developed over years of projects, to methodically source and solicit minority firms for contracting opportunities.
Recognizing that local and minority companies may be small in size, Benning conscientiously compartmentalizes larger scopes of work into manageable size for smaller firms. Benning has partnered with the Georgia Department of Economic Developments Mentor-Protégé program and looks forward to sharing their expertise with your community.
