Robert L. Marchman IIIBorn in Fort Valley , Georgia , January, 1925. Attended public schools in the City of Fort Valley. Attended Riverside Military School (Junior College), 1942 – 1943; Emory University , 1947; and Havard Law School , 1948 – 1950. Service in U. S. Navy, 1943 – 1946; obtained rank LTJG USNR, served in Pacific Theater, Executive Officer, USS PT 81, Motor Torpedo Boar Squadron 13; Executive Officer, USS ATR 21. Admitted to Georgia Bar 1950; admitted to practice Georgia Supreme Court. Georgia Court of Appeals; U. S. Supreme Court; U. S. Court of Appeals, 5 th and 11 th Circuits; U. S. District Court, North District , Georgia. Currently retired after many years with the firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, in Atlanta , Georgia. He is currently Secretary and Member of Board of Directors of Benning Construction Company, Atlanta, Georgia. |
