Jay Y. McClureSecretaryMr. McClure was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, on September 22, 1948, and attended public schools in Ft. Worth, Texas, La Jolla, California, and Montclair, New Jersey, where he graduated from Montclair High School in 1966. He attended the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Texas Wesleyan Universitywith a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. Mr. McClure attended the University of Texas where he was a candidate for a Master's Degree in Business Administration before attending Emory University School of Law where he was awarded a Juris Doctor degree in 1975. Mr. McClure was an Associate with the lawfirm of Northcutt, Edwards & Germano from 1975 until 1977. Mr. McClure joined the lawfirm of Howard and Gilliland in 1977 and became a partner with the firm in 1979. In 1983, Mr. McClure and Douglas Mr. McClure's legal career has been devoted primarily to the practice of commercial real estate law, including all aspects of entity organization, financing, zoning, acquisition, development, operation, leasing, and disposition of commercial properties, with an emphasis on retail shopping center properties. Additionally, Mr. McClure has represented domestic and foreign lending institutions, and has extensive experience in the negotiation ofjoint venture and syndicated franchise investment projects. Mr. McClure has represented Publix Super Markets, Inc. in all phases of its real estate and development projects throughout the southeastern region since 1990. Mr. McClure is a founding shareholder, director, and corporate secretary of Community Bank of the South, founded in 1999, and CBS Financial Corporation, founded in 2003. Community Bank of the South is a $400,000,000.00 community bank with four branches located in Cobb County, Georgia. Mr. McClure married Kathie Ann Gunter on April 28,1979, and they have two children: Chris, age 26, and Caitlin, age 24. |
