Benning Construction Company (BCC), founded in 1953, is a General Contractor with a widely held reputation for skill, integrity and responsibility. We are known for high quality exterior construction and superior levels of interior finishing in retail, recreational, multi-use and general purpose commercial buildings. Our sustained success is the result of enjoying what we do; we respect the clients that we serve; cherish the people we work with and welcome the challenges that our work provides. Our strength comes from our sound financial footing, a positive work environment and maintaining the right collection of people and skills. We constantly strive towards our goal of continuous improvement in our projects and construction methods; and we achieve this by fostering a collaborative atmosphere and mutual respect.
Our Mission
BCC is dedicated to becoming a value added general contractor to the Government of the United States. We will achieve our mission by becoming intimately knowledgeable of the needs of our government customers, and provide these requirements by employing the best practices that we have gathered from our 56 years of commercial construction experience. We will also strive to be a champion for the small business community by establishing a comprehensive small business program to support both the short and medium terms goals of the Federal Government. Our mission is to meet ALL the requirements of our Government customers by producing buildings of the prescribed scope, within the time frame and budget and meticulously adhering to the terms of our contracts.
Our Qualification
BCC has accomplished its history of successful project execution by recruiting and maintaining a team of professional project managers, estimators and superintendents. Our team consists of American Institute of Constructors Certified Professional Constructors, LEED Accredited Professionals, CPC Construction Project Management Professionals and Project Management Professionals (PMP’s). Mr. Ted Benning, President – has managed the firm for over 30 years and has placed a strategic emphasis on exposing staff to industry best practice in safety, task execution in the field and monitoring materials cost trends. Our understanding and reputation for quality and compliance to the requirements of the project and needs of the owner has been the major factor for the longevity of our company.
Government Business Strategy
BCC has established a short-term strategy of pursuing medium valued construction jobs as a prime contractor; and to become a value-added subcontractor to the prime contractor for high valued projects. Our short-term goal consists of utilizing our $100 Million bond capacity in an efficient manner while minimizing risk. We will migrate to high valued projects as we achieve other key strategic priorities, among these are:
- Establishing relationships with the DOD particularly in support of the BRAC construction projects at Ft. Benning, GA.
- Marketing BCC services as a best value contractor to select agencies including the Corps of Engineers, HHS (CDC), Dept of Interior and VA.
- Branding BCC as the prime contractor with an effective small business program that assists Government Agencies to meet their set-aside goals.
- Using Mentor Protégé and teaming agreements to grow a cadre of highly skilled small businesses to supply superior construction services to the Government.

Benning Construction Company’s experience includes: Site development, site utility installation, storm water retention, site stabilization, paving, warehouse, medical office buildings, recreational facilities, theatres, retail, shopping centers, grocery stores, cityscapes, office buildings, mid rise construction, parking decks, & minor and major renovation.

- The District: civil work, parking deck, 330,000 sq ft. space - $47 millionYear Completed: 2006
